1. Wash and cut rhubarb into smallish pieces.
2. Put into large pot with one cup water and one cup sugar.
3. Bring it to a boil and then let simmer for 20 minutes or whenever you remember it
4. Strain out all of the fibers using a cheesecloth, or if you're super fancy like me, a piece of paper towel
5. Put all of the remaining liquid into a seal-able jar and put it in the fridge.
6. Voila! Add vodka and tonic. Drink.
Other options:
G&T&R - gin and tonics with a splash of rhubarb!
vodka and lemonade
etc
Best part about this is that it makes almost any drink super pink. And that's the primary reason I drink Campari*, so this is awesome.

you have just solved a grave conflict in my life, the one where i love drinking pink drinks but, despite my love for herbal concoctions, cannot STAND campari. generally, with lemonade-type boozy delights, i use maraschino cherry juice but that adds a definitive sweetness, a bit too syrup-like.
THANK YOU.
